As part of Our Recommendations and Recommended Recordings, we recommend The Paramount Masters, a 4 CD box set compilation of 100 Paramount Records sides selected and re-mastered by JSP Records.
Among other overlooked gems in this compilation is a 1929 recording James “Boodle It” Wiggins recording of Keep A-Knocking, which was later recorded by Louis Jordan and Little Richard.
